Leading accountancy firm, Love Your Accountants® (LYA), based in Epsom, Surrey, are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Young as new Managing Director.
Rob Young will be taking over from Andy Mildner who has been the Managing Director for 15 years of the LYA group and will be relocating his time and resources to concentrate predominately on the servicing of clients and the wider team. Andy will still be heavily involved with the business from a strategy and operational perspective.
On the appointment of Rob Young, Andy said "I have been searching for someone to take over running the company for about 5 years and in Rob, I believe we have found someone who is stronger than me in almost all areas. Handing over the MD role to Rob will allow me to focus on looking after clients and developing the team to be the best they can be. I am excited to see the company grow and for Rob to use his incredible energy and strong values to build on what we have created so far."
Rob joined LYA in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer after qualifying as a chartered accountant with the ICAEW and gaining experience at Menzies LLP and PwC. Since his appointment, he has received his practicing certificate and become a Registered Auditor with the ICAEW whilst carrying out multiple voluntary roles in the community including a club treasury role and being secretary for a Mental Health Charity. In the last two years the firm has gone from strength to strength, expanding their offering for their clients and improving the internal efficiency of the company to continue to offer first class services at extremely competitive prices.

LYA started life in 2008 as Azure Financial Services Ltd and was run entirely by Andy Mildner as a company to take over the financial and administrative pain business owners experienced running their business on a day to day basis. In the early years it served the local community in Leatherhead, Ashtead and Epsom and due to a significant increase in demand for services, the company employed its first employees very early in its lifecycle. In 2017, due to feedback from clients around the high levels of satisfaction with work, the company rebranded to LYA and since then it has grown from a single office to having two established offices across the country (Bristol and Epsom) with two further offices to be opened by 2025. Despite the increased growth year on year since its inception, the goals of the company have remained the same and very niche in the accounting world in that the services offered focus around the partnering with businesses to reduce administrative processes for business owners, ultimately making them more successful.
